Star Valley vs Cody

One of Wyoming’s premier high school football rivalries takes center stage Friday night as the Star Valley Braves welcome the undefeated Cody Broncs (4–0) to Afton for Homecoming at Braves Field! Star Valley enters the showdown with plenty of momentum after a dominant 48–7 road victory over Powell to open 3A West Conference play. Quarterback Ross Hilton threw for more than 300 yards and five touchdowns in the first half alone, with Roman Erickson and Weston Crogg each hauling in a pair of touchdown passes. Cody brings an explosive offense to Afton after improving to 4–0 with a wild 70–41 victory over previously unbeaten Jackson Hole. The Broncs have scored 214 points in four games and are led by quarterback Cache McFadden, a University of Wyoming commit. And there’s plenty of history between these two programs. Star Valley and Cody have combined to win the last 11 Wyoming 3A state championships, with the Braves defeating Cody in each of the last four state championship games. Now the rivalry returns to Braves Field with Homecoming, conference positioning and bragging rights all on the line.
